Free forever for home lab users

If you're running BeekeeperML on your own server for personal or educational work, it's free forever.

My goal with this project was to make something for my own small home lab, to make my personal RL/ML projects easier. If Beekeeper helps you as a student, hobbyist, or independent researcher, please consider it my gift to you, and a very small contribution to moving human knowledge forward.

How I plan to make money

Unfortunately this project does eventually need to make money if I'm going to keep supporting it and adding features. Methods I'm exploring:

• Backend Integrations - As BeekeeperML adds support for cloud compute providers, I'm looking at ways to earn a referral cut on compute spend that flows through the platform. This would effectively be free for you as a user, while supporting the project
• Enterprise Support - Businesses with over $1 Million in annual revenue don't fit the "personal project" description, and should reach out to discuss licensing before use.

License model

BeekeeperML is source-available under the Business Source License 1.1 (BUSL). The source code is public and you can read, modify, and run it — the license just defines the terms under which you can do so commercially.

Personal, educational, and non-commercial home lab use is permitted without restriction. Organizations with over $1 million in annual revenue, or anyone offering BeekeeperML to third parties on a hosted or embedded basis, must reach out to discuss a commercial license.
